How to read the charts, SmO₂ values, and zones in the QLAC app

The top chart shows the entire workout, while the bottom chart displays the last 30 seconds. We also explain the Oxy value, the LA indicator, and the training zone numbering.

The workout screen in the QLAC app combines two charts with current oxygenation values and the zone number. Each element shows a different part of the workout.

Top and bottom charts

  • Top chart It shows the full course of the workout.
  • Lower chart It shows the changes over the last 30 seconds, making it easier to assess the current trend.

“Oxy…%” value

This is your muscle oxygenation level (SmO₂). The value is highlighted in the color corresponding to the training zone you are currently in.

Value "LA"

Indicates the current training zone number:

  • 0 – blue zone
  • 1 - green zone
  • 2 - yellow zone
  • 3 – red zone
  • 4 – violet zone

In the workout summary, the zone numbering is shifted by one and ranges from 1 to 5.

How to interpret the workout screen

Use the bottom chart to monitor short-term trends and the top chart to assess the overall workout. Interpret the Oxy and LA values together with your exercise intensity and the context of the workout.
